Privacy

What we collect

• Your email address, when you type it in and press “Keep me posted”.
• The date and time you signed up, the page you signed up from, and which version of the signup wording you saw, so we can show what you agreed to.
• To stop spam, our server briefly uses a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address to allow one signup a minute. It is deleted within 24 hours and is never stored with your email.
• Like nearly every website, our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for a limited time, for security and troubleshooting. We don’t use them to identify or profile anyone.

What we don’t do

• No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no ads on this site.
• Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page doesn’t send your details to Google or anyone else.
• We never sell or rent your email address, and we never share it for anyone else’s marketing.

How we use your email

• To send one email when the new site launches.
• To send the occasional studio update, like new work or when we’re taking on projects. We’ll keep it rare.
• Every email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also just reply or email us.

Where it’s kept and who sees it

• In a private file on our web host, DreamHost, in the United States. It sits outside the public part of the site, so it can’t be reached from the web. Only the 5 Pillar Productions team can access it.
• We may keep a copy in the private workspace we use to run the studio (Notion).
• When we send emails, we’ll use an email delivery service. Your address goes to that service only so it can deliver our emails, and nothing else.
• We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we stop sending updates.

Your choices

• You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@5pillarproductions.com and we’ll take care of it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
• Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have extra rights under local privacy laws. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you are.
• For visitors in the EU and UK: we rely on your consent to email you, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Children

This site isn’t aimed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this page, we’ll update the date at the top. If it’s a meaningful change, we’ll tell people on the list.
